Cruisers are often called upon for quick response duties; escorting or protecting merchant shipping or larger vessels like battleships and aircraft carriers from various threats; or detecting sneaky destroyers with their excellent Radar. Are you ready to sail out on the seas of World of Warships behind the helms of our most adaptable fighters?

Tier V Königsberg

Researchable in the German Tech Tree

Pros

• Excellent shell velocity
• One of the longest firing ranges among ships of her tier
• Wide torpedo firing angles

Cons

• Large citadel area, making her vulnerable to battleship AP shells
• Very weak AA suite—she may need allied assistance against enemy CV attacks

Tier VIII Atago

Event ship purchasable from the Japanese Tech Tree or Armory

Pros

• Good chances of starting fire / Good HE shell damage
• Excellent gun accuracy—almost the same as Tier X Zaō
• Excellent sailing capabilities, both in terms of rudder shift and speed

Cons

• Weak citadel area protection
• Very long reload time of 16 seconds

Tier X Des Moines

Researchable in the American Tech Tree

Pros

• Very fast reload time for heavy shells
• High-arcing shell trajectory—easy to shoot over the islands
• Effective Surveillance Radar ability

Cons

• Short-range main battery
• Poor torpedo defense
